About the Role
As part of our rapid expansion into new markets through licensing, wholesale, and regional growth, we’re seeking a QA & Compliance Coordinator to join our dynamic Product & Sourcing team!
In this role, you’ll report to the QA Compliance Manager and collaborate closely with the QA & Ethical Sourcing Specialist and the broader Product Development & Sourcing teams. Your key responsibilities will include ensuring product quality across all stages of development, maintaining compliance standards, and supporting supplier performance through ethical auditing and meticulous record-keeping.
What you’ll be doing
- Conduct preliminary assessments during the development of new product concepts and samples to ensure suitability prior to product ranging
- Develop and maintain accurate product specifications, and liaise with suppliers and quality control inspectors regarding inspection requirements
- Oversee the product testing process with offshore laboratories, including setting testing requirements, obtaining quotations, and ensuring timely delivery of reports
- Ensure all product descriptions, warnings, translations, and care instructions comply with Australian and international standards and regulatory requirements
- Approve product test reports, quality control inspections, and pre-production samples prior to shipment
- Investigate product and customer feedback to identify and address safety concerns, ensuring ongoing product and customer safety
- Ensure all suppliers and manufacturing facilities undergo annual audits in alignment with licensor requirements, and maintain accurate and up-to-date records
About You
- Preferably have a minimum of 1-2 years practical experience in a QA, compliance, or product development role within the retail, consumer goods, or manufacturing industry
- Tertiary qualifications in fashion, science, sustainability or in a related discipline would be advantageous (but not essential)
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively liaise with offshore suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Experience reviewing and verifying product labelling, packaging, and instructional content for compliance
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
